"Regina escrocheriilor de la Hollywood" era în realitate un bărbat indonezian de 41 de ani, Hargobind Tahilramani, un virtuoz al imitării vocilor feminine şi al accentelor limbii engleze. Autorităţile americane vor contacta justiţia britanică pentru a solicita extrădarea suspectului, a precizat un purtător de cuvânt al biroului FBI din San Diego. Potrivit publicaţiei americane The Hollywood Reporter, escrocul prezumtiv a fost arestat săptămâna trecută în Manchester, oraş din nord-vestul Angliei, cu ajutorul companiei de investigaţii private K2 Integrity. Identitatea "reginei escrocheriei" a rămas timp îndelungat învăluită în mister, până când compania K2 Integrity a anunţat anul trecut că în realitate era vorba despre un bărbat. Editura HarperCollins a cumpărat deja drepturile de publicare a unei cărţi despre această poveste rocambolescă, scrisă de Scott Johnson, fost jurnalist la The Hollywood.
